Delivery Zone Table Setup Guide

A delivery-zone reference helps shoppers understand the services you offer before they reach checkout. This table organizes areas, service names, and dispatch notes. Use Table Master to display the information, then confirm that your Shopify shipping setup supports every service described.

Try the storefront example

Choose Demo oversized to see the freight-quote route. The result remains a reference; checkout decides the services available for the actual address and cart.

Theme presets

These presets are available in Table Master. Changes apply to this example only.

Use these settings in your store

Open your table view, then select Design.

  • Table colors → Design template: Ocean blue.
  • Cell padding: set Top, Bottom, Left, and Right to 8 px.
  • Table style → Text alignment: Left.
  • Table style → Rounded corners: Medium (6px).

Save the table view. Check it in your theme. Your theme controls the font and available width.

This example uses Table Master storefront code with sample data and the settings below. Your theme’s fonts and available width can change the result. Example links show their destination; purchase controls use a sample cart. Use the checks below to confirm the finished setup in your store.

Build it in Table Master

  1. In Table Master, create a database from Google Sheets or a spreadsheet file. Put the headings below in the first row and one record on each following row. Import only public storefront data.
  2. Create a table view from that database. In Column type, set text identifiers to String. Set measurements and amounts to Number. Keep each unit in its heading.
  3. Add area and service filters. Keep coverage and the customer’s next step visible beside each row.
  4. Use String for dispatch notes so they do not appear as guaranteed arrival dates.
  5. Compare the reference with real checkout tests whenever coverage or product restrictions change.
  6. Save and publish the table view. Open the target page template in the theme editor. Add the Table Master app block and choose the table view. Save the theme and test the public page.

Example settings

  • The starting design is Ocean blue with 8 px padding, left-aligned text, and Medium (6 px) rounded corners. In Design, choose Ocean blue under Table colors → Design template. Set all four Cell padding values to 8. Under Table style, choose Left for Text alignment and Medium (6px) for Rounded corners. Try the other presets and corner sizes above; Reset example restores this starting design.
  • This example uses a standard table with Responsive table enabled and row borders. On phones, use the row control to read columns that do not fit. Use the starting design above before you compare the result.

Is a dispatch estimate a delivery promise?

A dispatch estimate is not a delivery promise. Use separate language for warehouse handling and transit time. Area names can be ambiguous, so include a link or note for your exact coverage definition. Keep uncertain addresses directed to checkout or support instead of claiming universal coverage.

  1. List the services your store actually offers and who qualifies for them. Keep warehouse handling and carrier transit details separate.
  2. Replace the sample coverage areas and service labels. Match the names to the wording customers see at checkout.
  3. Import the reference in Table Master and use an area filter if the list is long. Keep exclusions and next steps beside each service.
  4. Test representative addresses and product types in Shopify before publishing the table. Update the table when your rates or coverage change.

Check the finished setup

  • Try an excluded or remote address and check whether the displayed next step is accurate.
  • Test a cart with an oversized item and a standard item to inspect the actual available services.
  • Confirm that pickup wording requires a ready notice rather than promising immediate collection.

Common mistakes

  • Do not assume that a displayed area row creates a shipping zone or checkout rate.
  • Do not publish unsupported transit guarantees to fill an empty table cell.

Supported use

These examples contain reference data. They do not create Shopify products, stock, prices, shipping rules, or cart controls. Use the Shopify product import workflow when you need product and variant cart controls. Spreadsheet data changes when you import or sync it. Check the source before you use it as an inventory reference.

Table Master features, current app plans, and Table Master data sources explain the supported setup.
