Shopify product tables from metafields and metaobjects

Turn structured Shopify custom data into a searchable, multi-row catalog or ordering table.

What is a Shopify product table from metafields?

A Shopify product table from metafields puts structured catalog data into searchable rows instead of separate product-page sections. Table Master can import Shopify products, product metafields, variant metafields, and fields from linked metaobjects. A merchant can select up to 20 custom-data columns for one imported table. This is useful for multi-row catalogs that need technical attributes, model details, certifications, dimensions, reference data, prices, images, variants, or cart controls in one view. Table Master is different from a product-specific specification layout: it is designed for many catalog rows that shoppers can search, sort, and filter. Imported Shopify data does not refresh continuously. When product or custom data changes, the merchant must use Sync products in Table Master to refresh the table. Use this workflow when Shopify is the source of truth and the storefront needs a catalog, lookup, comparison, or ordering table built from that data.

Why do merchants need variant metafields in a table?

A Shopify Community merchant asked for a table that could compare several variants with their metafields, pricing, and other data. This is one direct merchant example. It is not a measure of total merchant demand.

Custom data is useful when basic fields such as title, price, and SKU do not give shoppers enough information to choose the correct row.

What Shopify custom data can I import?

Table Master can import:

  • Product metafields that apply to the whole product.
  • Variant metafields that change with the variant.
  • Child fields from linked metaobjects.
  • Up to 20 selected custom-data columns in one product import.
  • Standard product data such as title, image, price, SKU, and variants.

Select only the fields that help shoppers find, compare, or order a row. Keep internal notes and private operational data out of the storefront table.

When should I use Table Master or TableFlow?

Use Table Master for a multi-row catalog, lookup table, comparison list, or ordering table. Its rows can represent many products or variants.

Use TableFlow when one product page needs a structured specification or product-comparison layout. The product specification table guide explains that product-specific workflow.

How does imported Shopify data refresh?

The imported product and custom data does not refresh continuously. When Shopify data changes, open Table Master and use Sync products to refresh the imported table. Plan this manual step as part of catalog maintenance.

How do I create a table from metafields and metaobjects?

Follow the metafield and metaobject sync guide. It shows how to select Shopify custom-data columns and refresh imported values with Sync products.
