What is a Shopify compatibility lookup table?

A Shopify compatibility lookup table helps a shopper narrow a large parts list with linked filters. Table Master can create an embedded storefront table with up to six filters. Cascading filters change the available choices after each selection, such as vehicle type, brand, model, and engine. Each filter can automatically generate up to 50 options from the table data. The table can stay hidden until the shopper selects all required filters, which keeps an unfiltered catalog out of view. This workflow is useful for parts, accessories, devices, refills, and other products that must match a known attribute. It is a table lookup, not a complete vehicle-fitment system. Table Master does not supply VIN or registration lookup, a saved garage, or collection search. Public self-service plans include up to 20,000 rows, but this is not a hard maximum. Higher row limits are available by arrangement for larger compatibility catalogs.

Why do merchants need linked compatibility filters?

A Shopify merchant with a 7,000-SKU parts catalog asked for linked choices such as vehicle type, brand, model, and engine size. This is one direct example of the problem. It does not show total search volume or total merchant demand.

Linked filters can stop shoppers from choosing combinations that do not exist in the table data. They also reduce the amount of catalog data shown before the shopper gives enough information.

How do Table Master compatibility filters work?

Table Master reads the values in each table column. You can then:

• Add up to six filters to the table.
• Make one filter update the available options in the other filters.
• Automatically generate up to 50 options for each filter.
• Keep the result table hidden until all required filters have a selection.
• Search, sort, or add cart controls to the filtered result rows.

What row limits are available for a Table Master lookup table?

The official Shopify App Store listing showed these standard public plan allowances when this page was reviewed on August 12, 2026:

The 20,000-row Elite allowance is not a hard product maximum. Higher row limits are available by arrangement for larger catalogs and lookup tables. Contact Activory support with the expected row count, column count, data source, and filtering needs so that the team can confirm the correct setup.

Prices, plan names, and standard allowances can change. Check the App Store listing before you choose a public plan. A large vehicle catalog can also exceed the limit of 50 automatically generated options for one filter.

What does a compatibility table not replace?

Table Master provides an embedded table lookup. It does not provide VIN search, registration-number search, saved vehicles, a customer garage, or Shopify collection search. Use a dedicated vehicle-fitment system when those functions are required.
